It is internationally known that El Salvador is an ideal site for surfers that flock from many countries for its great waves. The prices in this country are less expensive than in many surfing destinations.

Most of the beaches offer something to eat. You’ll find the typical beach kiosks all over the beaches. Here are a few of the Beaches of El Salvador.

Barra de Santiago Beach in El Salvador Central America

Barra de Santiago Beach in El Salvador Central America

  • Barra de Santiago

This is an isolated fishing village with an amazing natural beauty. The village is surrounded by almost deserted beaches and water so clear that you may see the schools of fish without even wearing a snorkel mask. All this is next to a line of volcanoes that seem risen from the lush vegetation surrounding the beach.

The beach is great for swimming, surfing, watch the turtles laying their eggs or just lay there and do nothing.

  • Playa Maculis

It is a private 1.5 Km long beach in the form of a crescent with many trees and a few houses. This beach as in many Salvadoran coasts may be somewhat dangerous due to the undercurrents.
