Alicante beaches are of golden sands and turquoise waters that attract millions of visitors, mainly from all over Europe year after year. In the 250 km of coastline you’ll find beaches for all tastes, such as small coves for those looking for privacy to the big public beaches with all amenities and sports activities.

Alicante is a port city in the Costa Blanca of Spain in the south of the Valencian Community. It is the second largest city in Valencia.

Benidorm

Benidorm is a famous holiday resort with about 4 km of sandy beaches on the Mediterranean. It’s two most known beaches are Levante, meaning east and Poniente, meaning west.

The Blue Flag beaches are safe and prepared for families with children. It is also a great port for sailing, jet skiing and paragliding.

Its famous promenade is full of restaurants, cafes and bars with cuisine from around the world and delicious drinks.




Levante Beach

This beach about 30 minutes from Alicante is the place for those looking for fun. Also known as the Sunrise Beach, it offers an array of sports activities such as diving boards, swinging bridges, rafts, slides, a playground for the kids. It has lifeguards on duty and is frequented by a mix crowd of older and younger people.

Poniente Beach

This is a golden sand beach located to the west of Levante Beach in Benidorm.

It is much calmer and ideal for sun bathing and swimming. It is also equipped with all kinds of facilities and always maintains a spotless look.

San Juan de Alicante

This beach stretches for 3 km from the fishing village of El Campello to the rocky headland of Cabo de las Huertas. It is located about 25 km from Alicante International Airport attracting many Spanish families looking for a beach weekend.

It is a nautical spot for kayaks, yachts, surfing and great scuba diving. It is considered one of the best beaches in town about 4.5 km for downtown.

It was awarded the Blue Flag by the European Union and is packed with tourists during the summer months. It has a great selection of shops, bars, cafes and restaurants.

Playa de la Albufereta

It is located on a residential area in the northwest of Alicante. It is crowded by tourists during the summer months.

Beach services are available only during Ester holiday and during the peak of summer.

La Granadella

It has been voted twice Spain’s best beach. It is located on the northern part of Costa Blanca. It is in the form of a horse-shoe and features turquoise clear waters surrounded by cliffs.

It is a very popular spot with sunbathers, scuba divers and snorkelers looking for colorful fish.


El Portet, Moraira

This little treasure of the Costa Blanca is a rocky cove with crystal clear waters ideal for swimming, snorkeling or scuba diving.

The amazing beauty can compare only to the Caribbean Beaches. It is only 350 meters long and gets very crowded during summers.

Guardamar del Segura

This is a fabulous 10 km beach south of Alicante with the background of a flagrant pine forest that were planted on purpose to protect the gorgeous sand dunes.

It features a few secluded coves for private moments, and a few shallow beaches for families with small children.

Albir beach

Located between the postcard town of Altea and the resort of Benidorm is this little coastal town with golden sands.

It is a hidden treasure between two well-known resorts. Its Blue Flag status is ideal for family holidays due to its shallow waters. It features many shops and restaurants.

El Cura, Torrevieja

This golden sands beach is flanked by hotels, restaurants and bars. It is one of the top spots near Alicante for swimming and sunbathing. Bordered by palm trees, the promenade attracts musicians, street hawkers and artists.

In July the Habaneras Night on the Beach is held at El Cura with thousands of people heading to the beach to have dinner and listen to free music. 

Postiguet beach

Located at the foot of Castillo de Santa Barbara, this is an impressive stretch of golden sands and clear waters. They keep this beach spotless at all times.
